The Hometown Lawn Seasonal Lawn Pesticide Program
STEP 1 Late Winter / Early Spring
Professional, slow-release fertilizer plus crabgrass prevent. Apply ½” of water within 48 hours after application. A vapor barrier is created at soil level, controlling weeds before they appear.
STEP 2 Spring
Fertilizer, plus professional strength herbicide, for control of dandelions, clover, plantain and other broadleaf weeds. Apply on a sunny day when temperatures are above 65°. Apply to wet lawn (morning dew or lightly watered). Do not apply if rain expected within 48 hours and do not mow for 48 hours.
STEP 3* Summer
A second application of professional, slow-release fertilizer plus crabgrass prevent. Continues crabgrass protection throughout the summer. Apply ½” of water within 48 hours after application.
STEP 4* Summer
Professional, grub control helps control grubs at the appropriate time in their life-cycle. Apply ½” of water within 48 hours after application.
STEP 5 Fall
Professional, slow-release nitrogen fertilizer helps turf recover from summer stress. Apply ½” of water within 48 hours after application.
STEP 6 Late Fall / Winter
Winter root builder made to move roots laterally and develop rhizomes, for fast thick spring growth. Encourages drought and traffic tolerance.
All of the above steps are a granular application. A liquid weed spray at the time of each application is included at the time of service if deemed necessary. All paved surfaces adjacent to application areas are blown off after each application. Separate service calls will be reviewed and billed on an individual basis.
